A review of the grant application submitted in mid-2004 was delayed from September until November due to Hurricane Ivan. Optimism changed to disappointment when the letter came in early December that the grant application was not approved.
Undaunted, another application was quickly completed and sent to Tallahassee in time for the December 15 deadline. The panel review for that grant occurred the 5th of April, 2005, and we failed to obtain funding.
Not ones to stand around, the Society has compiled a souvenir booklet for sale in the meantime to garner a few dollars toward the engine's return. That book may be seen here: (www.algersullivan.org/bookstore.html)
